Differences between a bichon frise, bichon maltes, and poodle.

According to Le Chien (Paris, 1959), the Bichon Frize has a slightly larger skull than the Bichon Maltese. Its hair makes it appear rounder and bigger than it is. Its nose is black, its lips small and well-pigmented. Their eyes are dark brown and round, not almond-shaped like their cousin, the Poodle. Its tail is not cropped, and should never be docked. The tail should have an elegant curve that does not fall to the side, the tip of the hair falling towards the middle of the back. The Bichon frise is woolly in appearance, curly and long, always white, and in one standard size.
